How Can My Baby Cough Pleghm

Lovecraft and the damage he caused to sfruttmento of platitudes

to which I am a clichés and phrases have always been some discomfort, especially as relate to the foreclosure of independent checks and subjective benefit of trivial a priori judgments. Common places I could mention dozens of dozens, but there is only one that when I break, that is to say, "do not judge a book by its cover."
In some ways it is true, a cover is separable from the value of the text therein, but as an assertion is che su carta detiene una certa dignità, è proprio sullo stesso supporto (ora non più figurativo) che trova riscontro di scelte editoriali che possono compromettere il lavoro sinergico del rapporto copertina/testo.
Esempio di tale malfunzionamento è Tutti i romanzi e i racconti di Howard Phillips Lovecraft.
Il nome di Lovecraft suscita tensioni ataviche che si cristallizzano negli scenari da lui descritti su cui si muovono entità ancestrali capostipiti, precursori o, addirittura, creatori di tutte le specie biologiche presenti sulla terra; un iter fantascientifico che, con il pretesto della scoperta archeologica, accresce la conoscienza fino a stravolgere totalmente la concezione which has the leading man of his nature, so a pure horror that, if it does not cause death, leads to madness.
Now I wonder: how can a cover picture depicting a caricaturist (so funny) to revive the author's own darkness of the themes addressed by him? Certainly not by using a black background! The
Newton Compton is a publishing house that publishes the writings of quality at reasonable prices (which can not be said of all ), but despite the aforementioned All novels and short stories all is offered at just under € 25 - price indeed inviting, since it is the entire bibliography - After having been brooding over a long time, finally I opted for the Mountains of Madness the same publisher. The cover was most appropriate.
other documents of HP will buy them calmly.

Ps The graphic designer collection of Lovecraftian deserves at least a complaint.
